I’m a 27 year old predominately whitetail deer hunter who also has a passion for hunting ruffed grouse as well. I also have taken 1 Jake turkey, many rabbits and squirrels, and am slowly becoming more knowledgeable about waterfowl hunting and have taken my first duck ever on my 3rd time out duck hunting. I primarily hunt wildlife management areas (WMAs) in Carlton and St. Louis county, and make it home often to hunt whitetails at my parent’s place in the infamous 156 zone, which encompasses Kettle River.  I also run 3 game trail cameras throughout much of the year, and post them on Tuesdays for “Trail Cam Tues” and had great success placing one over my deer carcasses to capture images of bald eagles, coyote, and skunks feasting.
